About Us

Message From the Principal...

Welcome to the new GREEN Upstate High School!

At GUHS, our goal is to create a place where people want to work, students want to learn, and all stakeholders feel heard and included. High School is the final step for a student before they are thrust into the real world of college and career. Our aim is to equip students with the resources, skills, and knowledge to figure out the next step of their journey and be prepared to contribute positively to the greater community. We accomplish this by providing course offerings centered around student interest and needs, creating connections to local businesses and organizations, and fostering a culture of care that makes sure all students are known, challenged and cared for.

As we launch the new GREEN Upstate High School, we hope to continue to grow and refine what we do to create a learning community like no other. Through feedback, conversation, data collection, reflection, successes and mistakes, we can challenge the status quo of high school and lead the way towards a better way to do school.
