Welcome Angelica Camargo as the new GREEN Upstate High School Principal

Ms. Camargo brings many years of experience to her new role. She earned a B.S. from the
Universidad Metropolitana in Barranquilla Colombia and has been an educator at GREEN for the
past six years, teaching both AP and Honors Spanish. While at GREEN, she has continued to
share her love of Colombian culture with her students. She was named a GREEN Teacher of the
year in the 2019-2020 school year. Ms. Camargo knows GREEN well from a parent lens too; all
three of her children have attended GREEN.
Ms. Camargo stated, “I am super excited to take on this new role and look forward to
collaborating with this amazing community of students, teachers, and families. Throughout my
career, I have seen how learning is different for every student and believe it is imperative to
meet the unique needs of every child in a truly inclusive environment.”
GREEN’s Executive Director, Tom Cronin stated, “We enthusiastically welcome Angelica Camargo
as the new School Leader of GREEN Upstate High School. During her time at GREEN, Ms.
Camargo has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to excellence and to nurturing a
supportive and inclusive community.”
